Type 1 or juvenile diabetes is a devastating disease that affects millions of people, a large and growing percentage of them children. Tyler Khoranoff’s daughter Presley was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at just 19 months of age. Tyler is Operations Manager for Grangetto’s.

Each year Tyler’s wife, Gretchen, participates in the “Walk to Cure Diabetes,” a program through JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation).

Presley’s life changed FOREVER on the day she was diagnosed. Her life changed from being a kid with a carefree life, to one with finger pricks, insulin injections, carbohydrate counting, highs, and lows.

Wanna ready my thoughts? Of course you do!

But after listening to another mother who knows where I'm coming from at the latest JDRF lunch i attended with Presley, it was so clear how difficult our children's life really is. How much we all take for granted OUR life. Our healthy life of not having to live day to day with a plan A and a plan B.
