J.R. Organics began over 50 years ago with Joe Rodriquez, Sr. on the beautiful rolling hills of Valley Center. Now farmed by Joe Jr., 4th generation farmer, who, in 1986. received his California Organic Certification (CCOF).

For five years Joe attended various seminars at Mira Costa College regarding the latest in organic growing techniques such as soil fertility, beneficial insects and compositing.

The produce you receive from J.R. Organics is grown using some of the best organic growing techniques available, including crop rotation, green manures, beneficial insects, composting and mulching. The fertilizers include rock phosphate, green sand, worm castings, minerals, etc.

You are assured that the produce you receive from this CSA Program is richer in vitamins and minerals then most vegetables, herbs and fruits that you could obtain anywhere else.
