Bamboo

Bamboo - Bambusa species: Great as a background plant. These plants range from 10-30' in height and come in golden, striped, and black-stemmed varieties.

Fern — Species: Large family of mostly evergreen plants with soft fronds in a multitude of shapes and sizes ranging from 1-2' dwarfs to 10-15' tree varieties.

Fringe Flower — Loropetalum chinense: Soft foliage ranging from green to burgundy-purple produces white or deep pink fringe-like flowers in spring and fall. Grows 3-5' high, 4-8' wide.

Quaking Aspen — Populus tremuloides: Fast growing tree with shimmering green leaves with lighter silvery-green backsides that flutter in the wind. Grows 30-65'.

Mexican Sage
Mexican Sage - Salvia leucantha: Bright, soft silvery-green foliage covered spikes of purple flowers from late spring through early fall. Grows 3-5' high and wide.

Statice
Statice — Limonium perezii: Clumps of blue-green foliage produce tall stemmed flower clusters of purple and white that make excellent dried flowers.

Weeping Willow
Weeping Willow - Salix × sepulcralis: Very fast growing tree 40-70' high and equally wide with graceful weeping foliage of long, narrow green leaves.

Westringia species
Westringia — Westringia species: Evergreen shrubs that grow 3-6' tall with soft gray-green rosemary-type foliage and white or lavender flowers from spring to fall.

Feather Grass
Feather Grass - Calamagrostis acutifolia Karl Foerster: Narrow, green grassy leaves with feather plumes 4-5' tall that appear in early summer and last into fall.

Fountain Grass
Fountain Grass — Pennisetum setaceum: Widely used grass with soft green or redish-purple foliage and rosy-pink plumes in late summer and fall. Grows 3-4'.

Japanese Silver Grass
Japanese Silver Grass — Miscanthus species: Bold grasses in a variety of foliage colors. Well suited for mass plantings, with fan-shaped panicles 3-5' high.

Mexican Feather Grass
