• Continue to plant winter vegetables.

• Harvest winter vegetables as soon as they mature.

 • Protect your plants from frost. Use Dewitt-N-Sulate Blankets.
Mulch

Snail and Slug Control

Nitra King and Yara Turf Royal 21-7-14

• Mow cool-season lawns, including bermuda that's overseeded with winter ryegrass. You can control rust by fertilizing in addition to mowing them.

• Feed cool-season lawns with Yara Turf Royal 21-7-14 or Best Nitra King 19-4-4, but don't feed warm season lawns (except for bermuda that's over-seeded with winter ryegrass).
 

• Do not mow warm season lawns, except St. Augustine (if it continues to grow).

Green Light Products
 • For control of weeds and crabgrass on your lawns use Green Light Crabgrass Preventer. For ground cover & flower beds use Green Light Amaze.
Pruners
 • Prune grapes, low-chill raspberries, and native plants. Prune wisteria by cutting off unwanted long twiners. Prune roots of vines that fail to bloom. Several Pruning tools are on sale at Grangetto’s this month.
Erosion Control
