Plant of the Month: Plush Plant

Plush Plant photo

This veritable, velveteen, fuzz ball of red-tinted leaves will make a dynamite addition to your landscape. Blooming most of the year with candy-corn orange, bell-shaped flowers, this tough, low growing (less than 8”) succulent, is probably one of the best, small, landscaping succulent shrubs around.  Its great for massing, hardy to low 20’s and best in full sun to bring out those reddish tints on the edges of the lime green foliage.  This versatile Echeveria is also a nice choice for borders, pots, and small spaces.  Can be quite drought tolerant, but enjoys regular garden watering.  So PLUSH and FUZZY you’ll want to pet it!
