Gardening Tips for September

Fertilize with Best Triple Pro 15-15-15, a general-purpose fertilizer for shrubs, trees, lawns and fruit trees. |
|
|
Amend and mulch flower and vegetable beds to prepare for fall planting with Gardner & Bloome Soil Building Compost. |

Tools - Replace rakes in anticipation of fall clean up. For large areas use the Flexrake 19” lawn rake. For areas in flower beds, use the Flexrake 8” shrub rake.

Fall clean up - Clean up old, rotted fruit and vegetables. Rake up leaves and garden debris. Prune out any dead wood with Corona Pruners. |

Water - Still a month or more of warm weather before fall arrives. Check gardens and lawns frequently. Wait until next month to re-adjust timers. |

Plant sweet peas, both bush and vine types. |

Birds- put up feeders; supply fresh water for drinking and bathing. |
